The successful candidate will be working on a diverse, exciting and interesting client base from the start and will gain access to a broad range of responsibilities to help develop their practical experience.
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years previous accountancy and tax practice experience, have a strong work ethic and be committed to delivering the best service to their clients and firm. You will possess good IT skills, excellent organisational and communication skills and have a proactive and self-starting attitude.
Ideally we are looking to speak to candidates who have worked previously in a small practice environment.
Support and training as required will be provided by their friendly, qualified and experienced team and a study/training package may also be available depending on the successful candidate’s background.
The key areas of responsibility for this position are:
• Preparation of limited company and sole trader accounts
• Payroll and P11d’s
• VAT returns
• Personal and corporation tax returns
Past audit experience would be seen as a benefit as they have a growing number of audit clients within the firm and there may be scope for an element of audit work for the right candidate at certain times of the year. Past experience of using Xero and CCH also considered a benefit.
The role will be principally based at their office but, as and when required, work will also be undertaken at their clients’ offices.
Salary up to £25,000 per annum, pro rata if working Part time hours (dependent on experience and qualifications). 20 days holiday pro rata plus bank holidays plus 3 extra days for Christmas shutdown, discretionary bonus arrangement, commission on new work you bring in to the firm.
Hours – Full time (37.5 per week) but part time hours (24 upwards per week) also considered. Flexible working hours offered.
